Deer hunting has been tough so far. Sat in my stand a couple of hours after dark a couple of nights ago waiting on him. It was 28 degrees in Texas.

Just a guess because I had to drag him out of the area by hand. It was too muddy to get my truck to that area. I’d say 225-250 lbs. Surprisingly, he didn’t have good tusks. Only about an inch long.

This was on a nearby military base so they allow shotgun only. He was around 50 yards away.

Thompson Center Pro Hunter, 20 gauge Bullberry Custom rifled barrel 18.5”, Leupold VX3 1.5-5X20 scope. Remington accutip 2 3/4” sabot slug. It will shoot about 2-3” hundred yard groups. Not bad for what it is.  Used the full moon in this instance. That setup is very light and the recoil will rattle your brain. The muzzle blast from that short barrel blinds you for a few seconds too.

Excellent! Are you happy with Bullberry?

Yes, I am. I’ve had to call them a couple of times. They take their time to give you whatever information your after. I had a Savage 220 bolt action slug gun prior to this. The Thompson Center/Bullberry is a little more accurate and much lighter. Weight isn’t really a fair comparison though since it’s a single shot switch barrel.
