It is my understanding that the Apache 7x28mm binoculars are the U.S. Army's new issue compact binocular. Does anyone know about them? Are they any good?

Who makes them? When I was in the only compacts were those privately purchased. The only standard issue were full size Steiners.

Pioneer Marketing and Research makes them for the military contract and they just happen to be the U.S. importers of Steiner.
We carried them for a while but sales were slow I assume because no one knew what they were. The Apache binoculars are extremely durable with above average optics. They make a perfect pack binocular for hard hunting in rough environments. |

We don't carry them any longer. It's been so long I don't recall what they retailed for seems like they were under 2.
