Hoping somebody has some ideas here. Want to mount a 25mm Leupold on my son’s Sauer S303. These rifles have a machined mount system on the receiver similar to a picatinny rail but called an ISI rail. Regular rings won’t fit into the slots because they are narrower than those on a regular rail. Have checked a number of sites that cater to EU style optics and the rings listed that would fit are in the $500 to $600+
range. That’s a bit too expensive. Has anyone ever encountered this and have a less expensive work around?

Admire your ingenuity Scrummy that would work on the slots but forgot to add that the width of the rail is also an odd size (11mm I believe), so can’t tighten standard rings. Oh well, iron sights never go odd of style.

Ah, bugger.

Only reason I say this is that some European Pic / Weaver Rails seem to have relatively tight slots vs US brand bars (I just had this with a Contessa Rail and a Burris mount and apparently it isn't that uncommon as an issue)

I can see if I can find some European options for you?

If you could have a look I would appreciate it. New set of eyes might see something I missed!

Cheers
