Hi All

I currently have a Vortex Viper PSTII 5-25x50 FFP MRAD scope.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Vortex AND the Arken EP4.

How do the two compare?

I know that the PST is a 30mm tube, and the Arken has a 34mm.
I really like the positive clicks of the PST.

If both were to cost the same, and an illuminated reticle is not important to you, wich one would you choose and why?

My older EP4 4-16 has been great! Feature for feature, it is as good or better than my PST G2 3-15, or even my 5-25.

The EP4 glass is a major improvement over the PST. The zero stop feature is easy to set as well.

I now have one of the newer SH4 Gen2 4-16 models, and it is an awesome scope so far!

I have the very early model (say prototype) SH4 4-16.  It has a couple of eccentricities, but I've been assured those have been fixed.  Overall, it is a great scope and once I got it mounted in a 1-piece mount where all functions were fully operational, I've had no issues.  It has been on every "heavy banger" I have...no issues.  Right now, it is on Weatherby Vanguard with MDT chassis in .308.  Fantastic out to 1000 yards.

Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.
