Having a hard time desiding between a couple different scopes.

In the $1000 range I'm debating between the Vortex PST Gen ii or the Hawke Frontier 30 FFP. I'm more familiar with the Hawke rifle scopes as I own two Sidewinders. I'm curious as to which one of those two will have better glass. I know the Frontier has Hawkes best glass but I'm not sure how it would stack up against the PST glass. They both have pretty much every other feature I'm looking for. Also on scopes in this range, would it make sense not to get the higher power ranges on them because the they arent the top tier glass and 25x would be low quality in this price range?

I'm also considering two in the $2000 range in case I scrounge up the money to get something next level(according to my standardsBig Smile) The Leupold Mark5 or the Steiner T5Xi. I'd really like something with high performance glass in low-light conditions. I can't find a place where I can look at these side by side. I would appreciate any advice.

The scope will go on a .300 win mag for hunting purposes. Max yardages that I would probably shoot at an animal would probably be 600 yards max. Even then I may not ever attempt that.

I’m disappointed no one replied. I’m looking for a cost effective scope for my 300 Weatherby mag and I’m debating between a vortex viper and a bushnell Nitro. I’d love to hear what people think about scope options.

I’ve heard good things about both and was curious If anyone had put them on a high recoil rifle with success?

I’m curious if you made a choice yet and what you decided too.

in the 1000 range i'd buy the SWFA 3-15 for around 700. best scope for the money.

in the 2000 range i'd get a Nightforce 3-15. can be had for 16-1700 now.

Yeah I wish more people out there had experience with a "this vs that" on optics, only a handful of people have put their eyes on that many optics. I know a lot of things are personal opinion but I still like to hear different perspectives.

So I actually landed on two totally different scopes. I was thinking I was going to get the Razor HD Gen II 3-18. I'm seeing them for about $1700 right now. I found myself trying to justify the extra $$ for a scope that would be used for hunting. I kept thinking of all the animals I've put on the ground with a $300-$400 scope and thought to myself "do I really need to step up that much???" I would rather spend 2-3K on a nice set of bino's to be honest. So I decided to go with something in the $1000 range.

I thought the quick answer was the PST but I just felt like there could be something better out there in that price range. And who knows maybe I made the wrong choice, but I never really could get excited for that scope. But over the last few weeks I swear I've read and watched reviews on just about anything in this range. It came down to the Tract Toric 4-20x50 or the Brownells MPO 3-18x50. I ended up getting the MPO. I was helped by the advice of the dark lord of optics himself and he said the Toric will have a smidge better glass but the MPO reticle will do better in low light situations. I should have it here on the 13th. I hope I like it, it will be a step up from what I'm using now and I feel it will be perfect for my situation.

When the Dark Lord speaketh, one is wise to listen. Congrats.
If we're not suppose to eat animals...how come they're made of meat?
