Getting a rifle ready for hunting... Voere Shikar .300 WinMag, 24 inch barrel with Meopta Meostar R1 3-12...  I have some subject ammo given to me by a brother-in-law (he opted for a .270...sheesh).   The company line on ballistics for this ammo is:180 grain, .383 BC, 2960 fps.  Using the MagnetoSpeed chronograph, 12 rounds fired, max MV was 2914, Min 2863, ES 51, SD 20, average MV 2890.
Nothing that violates PBR at 300 yards... there is a 3/4 inch drop differential between max and min velocities...
Seems quite acceptable, to me.  I've always had good success with Core-Lokt ammo.

To be as mass produced as it is I agree.  Corelokt has always done fine by my standards.

Hope you get a nice one out hunting.

Thank you.  Rifle season doesn't start until the 19th, but I still have a few rifles to go over and get ready.  I'm hunting with several different guns this year.
That Shikar in .300 WinMag is really nice.

Shounds a good set up. If accurate enough, go get venison!
Was sure I had a point when I started this post...
