This is the first time for me to shoot the new to me HS precision HSP, 1-7T twist 223 Remington with the copper creek ammo, 77 grain Berger OTM bullet right at 2500 fps.

First time to use the new Burris 5-30x56 XTR-III with the new SCR2 MIL reticle.

Loving it!

I did drop confirmations out to 750 yards, but I could not see impacts, so then I dropped back to 600 yards on a 10 inch plate. pics below

Several day later John (one of several that helped me quite a bit, when I could not drive for 2 months)

John’s wheelhouse is more with AR’s and semi-auto handguns. He decided to expand his horizons little bit, and came out with me to Mac’s Gunworks where he shot a specialty pistol for the first time. He connected on 10” steel out to 800 yards in windy/gusty conditions. At 1000 yards he was not able to connect. It was switching so bad that just from one shot to another it was at least 3.5 MOA or a tad more than one MIL correction.
