I acquired a Valquartsen .22 mag recently.  It has a Leupold Vari-X II, 6-18 scope on it now.  I've had it out briefly and got several .75" groups out of it.  I'd like to be able to continue to shoot paper with it at 100 yds, but would also like a variable scope with less magnification when I take it to the woods, and shoot coyotes.  Any suggestions.  I've found a Kahles 3-9x42?, CL with multi-zero, for $560.  Seems like a lot of money to put on a rimfire, but it has paralax adjustment, and sure looks like good glass.  The multi-zero looks a little frilly to me.

Thanks,

Joe
