Good afternoon, I would like to show you my 1923 (according to
serial N°) Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrentis 8x30. I know that these are not
quite rare, but I have noticed that are not produced with Aluminum tops,
but with Aluminum and Broze (front).
I have never seen one with these combination and I would like to ask you if there's an explanation. I
have been making some investigation and I found that en 1923 German
main industrial region (Ruhr) was invaded by france for several months.
For that reason germany had an hyperinflation, currency devaluation and
great economic crisis. In this era germany
doesn't produced bauxite (aluminium ore) and used to import it, so I
think that maybe they could have used bronze instead in this binoculars
for that reason. Thanks in advance. Photos in this link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1X8sAjr2gOJxj71KBViRjrAdYUyhxY9P0
