I may have an issue, but am not sure if my scope got screwed up. I have a fixed 10X SWFA SS that I use on a 50 bmg. It seemed to work great when I sighted it in, but when I brought it home and went to pull my front scope cap off, I started twisting the cap off and the whole front bell/integrated sunshade unscrewed just a little bit (maybe 1/8 of a turn). I know not to remove the integrated sun shade and immediately tightened it back on, but I am concerned it may have become screwed up from untrusting that little bit (nitrogen purge or parallax issues messed up??) and am not sure. It came loose pretty easily from twisting the cap off and I'm not sure if the 50 bmg caused the bell to loosen a bit, but I need some advice. Is the scope messed up now? It costs a lot to sight the rifle in again but it's also a very far drive to go to the range that let's me shoot it.

Give SWFA a call and ask for Skylar. He will be able to get you the info you need on whether on not its an issue or if you should just tighten it back up. My guess is the latter, but best to go to the source.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.
