Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) is seeking up to 5 volunteer applicants to serve terms of 2-3 years on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) in Norwest Montana (Region 1). The primary function of the CAC is to increase FWP’s awareness of emerging issues throughout the region by sharing the perspectives of the increasingly diverse constituencies.

Montana’s Region 1 is bounded by the Flathead Indian Reservation to the south, and Glacier National Park to the north. Region 1 is home to grizzly and black bear bears, mountain lion, white-tailed deer, three species of mountain grouse, and furbearers such as marten and wolverine. The region provides about half of the black bear and mountain lion harvest in the state. White-tailed deer is the most popular big game animal.

The Region 1 CAC meets approximately 5-6 times per year from late September to early June.  The FWP is seeking individuals with enthusiasm for the outdoors who FWP will rely on for advice and perspective regarding a wide range of sportsman, fisheries, wildlife, parks, enforcement, recreational and educational issues.

Safari Club International is encouraging all SCI members who live in Region 1 to apply for one of the openings. To apply, download the attached cover letter and application and return it electronically to Martha Abbrescia at mabbrescia@mt.gov. The application must be received by Thursday, August 31.

Help keep PITA off the board.
Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.
