I have a R700 that needs a new barrel and the Smith I used in the past has retired. The action has already been trued, so this is just a barrel job. Anyone have a Smith they would recommend? Thanks.

Pete Pieper in Hempstead, TX. Tell him Ted sent you.

He can be hard to reach by phone sometimes when he's in his shop running a machine, but if you leave a message, he will call you back.

Or Brandon (Bigdaddy) here on OT.

Another possibility is Eddie Fosnaugh at Fosnaugh Customs.

Caleb if Brandon doesn't have time for it, I've got a good one here in B'ham. He's in process of doing my 700.

I contacted Brandon, if he doesn't have time, I will contact you, that is close enough for me to take the rifle to him.
