I'm looking for a new rangefinder primarily for antelope and deer ranging in the open. As much as I like the concept of the Leupold TBR I probably don't need it where I hunt. What I do need is the ability to range single animals out to 400 yards or so. Price as always seems to be the case is a factor so the Leica's, Leupold RX-II's and such are not an option. What does that limit me to? One that I have been looking at is the Nikon Laser 440. Will it range to an animal at 440? Will the RX-I hit an animal at 400 yds?
