Read this on another thread and was interested in knowing more, please.  Then I found a report that Meopta may have rebranded for others as well, true?

For those who celebrate Easter, have a nice Good Friday.

Meopta is a OEM manufacturer for a lot of optics and optics lenses.  I believe that they played a large part in the original conquest.

It isn't really a secret.

I used to own a Zeiss Diascope that said "Made in Czech Republic" right on it.

Meopta makes quality optics, in the USA they sell more optics under the Cabela's brand than

they do under their own.

Found one of Ilya's reviews:

http://opticsthoughts.com/?page_id=112

It has a great write up of 3-9X40/42 scopes including the Zeiss Conquest MC and Meopta Meopro.  The Meopro and Conquest are definitely not the same scope even if they do share manufacturing facilities.

That was 3-9x42 MeoPro.  Now, they have a 3-9x40 which seems to basically be the same as the original Conquest.

Yep, looks like they replaced the 3-9x42 Meopro with the older 3-9x40 design. Pretty clear with the eyepiece housing.

I recently read that same thing...the conquest was actually made by meopta....makes me feel better knowing I can't tell any difference between them.
That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.

Wow, no question the newer 3-9X40 is a exact copy of the Conquest MC.  The 6X42 seems the same. Thanks Ilya and everyone.

The original 3 models of MeoPro riflescopes introduced to the US and ROW markets in 2010 were the 3-9x42, 4-12x50 and 6-18x50.  Each of these was completely designed and engineered by Meopta with Assembly at Meopta USA in America and full manufacturing in Czech Republic for ROW.

The following models 3.5-10x44, 3-9x50 and 3.5-10x44 RD were inspired by success of other models in America, but again were designed and developed completely by Meopta with full manufacturing in Czech Republic for ROW.

Finally, the MeoPro 6x42 was designed to fill a gap in the EU/ROW market for a compact fixed power scope and is still today manufactured in Czech Republic for both USA and ROW.

Yes I work for Meopta, but I am not here to sell Meopta. Just answering questions and providing reasonable insight.
