One of the few redeeming qualities of the IOR's are the MP-8 reticle.
Other than that, they are dead too me...

Why, you ask?

I had a problem, (2 actually) with an IOR scope many moons ago and had a run in with "Val" on the phone on a day we both were feeling "froggy" and I've been anti IOR since that day. My dissatisfaction with IOR is well documented here and abroad, but that say's more about my pettiness than anything. Big Grin

In all fairness, Val did replace the scope, which I quickly sold for a loss and that's been that. The whole IOR trip was a bummer for me. But, others have seemed to have better luck and I hear IOR has taken steps to correct some of their customer service issues and quality control.

This is a southern quality.  We dont give second chances on things we spend our hard earned money on.

I have had 8 or 10 (I think) different IOR scopes.  Great glass and as cheaptrick said the MP8 reticle is the bomb.  Some were great, but about half of them I had to return for issues.  I always had good experiences with customer service, so no issues there.  I have not owned any of the newer stuff of the last 3 or 4 years, so my opinion is pretty dated.

I still have a fixed 4x tactical version on an AR-15 it has been an excellent scope.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I have the 1.5-8x26 and I love it, and have had no issues with it. I'd buy another IOR if they had what I wanted.

I have owned that scope a few times, not sure what generation they are on now, maybe gen6.
Great reticle, good glass, my scopes tunneled at the bottom (which I do not like) and I have had to deal with IOR customer service a few times. It varies from "okay" to "terrible", that is just a part of their game.
I had their 2.5-10 for awhile and liked it, turrets were not bad, glass was good, tunneling made it a 3.5-10, but 15 mils of drop on the reticle is awesome when shooting a subsonic 300 blackout.

If it is a smoking deal, I would do it - knowing you might be buying someone else's headache. In the end, they will usually replace a problem scope, so with a little effort, you might end up with something you really like and use.

No....I will readily give a company or an individual a second chance, (Lord knows I've had my share of second chances given me thankfully), I just didn't like being called a "liar" by IOR's representative when their product fails.

Alas....I've moved on.....no sense holding a grudge. Right?  Stiring The Pot Wink

Yeah, I don't think I'd have anymore dealings with them if they had done that to me.

Same here. There is too many other companies who have great products and great CS. So why take a chance.
