Has anyone on the forum used this setup. When I lived in Alaska a friend of mine had an old bushnell??? that had a "duel setup", you could go from a simple crosshair to a post with a twist of a ring. I currently have on my ruger#1 a leupold vari-x 2 in 3-9 with duplex recticles. Living in western Pa. most deer hunting is done close with the exception of power, gas lines etc...I am thinking of going to a fixed low power scope and would like to use this recticle. Any suggestions

Bushnell stopped making the post and plex a few years ago.  It was in a 3-9x50 Elite 3200 I think.  You might find a used one on eBay or a gun show.  As far as a fixed power with a post, I don't know who makes one currently.  You might have to buy a scope and send it back to have the reticle changed.
