I have acquired the above scope, but am needing some relevant information regarding its proper use.  As the scope predates the NXS version the parallax is on the Objective rather than the left side adjacent to elevation and windage turrets.  There is a dot (.) on the Power Ring near the 14 x.  I have no idea as to this dots relevance in using the scope.  Contact with staff at Nightforce Optics has been of little help as most likely the employees currently there have been hired after the the manufacture date of the scope (probably late 80s to earlier 90s). Is there anyone having information regarding this particular scope or know where I might be able to locate a users manual for same.

The dot on the on the power ring is likely the power setting needed for ranging with the reticle.

SEMO is correct.  The setting at the dot is where the reticle values are true.

The NF Varminter series IHO had the best glass of any NF product ever made before of since.  If it has the NP1-RR reticle you have quite a find.
