I am considering buying a Bushnell compact 800 for $220 shipped. I saw in a previous post someone was having trouble with one. Has anybody else had any experience good or bad with one of these? I know they are an older model but I am still considering it because it has 930 yd. reflective range and a 475 yd. deer range. I would appreciate any opinions.

I have th Yardage pro 800 rangefinder as well as a Yardage Pro 600. I have never had any problem with either of them and one or the other is in my pack at all times. The 800 is a bit more compact but, the 600 came with this really cool neoprene case which allows the rangefinder to be used without removing it from the case. They are both really slick units and are well worth the investment.

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

I have an 800 and really like it. I can range realistically about 600 yards to trees though.
