Funny you should mention that Ed. I had a 100% wool turtle neck sweater. It was a bit large on me and the weave was a little loose. It got washed instead of dry cleaned once and it shrunk to a perfect size for me and the weave tightened up and it was the warmest sweater I ever had. I have no idea what happened to it, but I'd bet it got washed again and tossed in with the old baby clothes.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Had a Filson double mac for 10 years, still going strong. But you might want to check out the Carston work wear line, warm durable and already camoed. (forest brown). good stuff, although the size may be a concern
