Nice photo.  Sometime I'll have to teach you how to photograph fine art nudes, its much more fun.  Not to worry I started with birds also, have some lovely whooping crane photos from Rockport.

Update:

Nikon and I spoke last night. The camera is salvageable and the work will take about 7-10 days providing all the components are available while the repairs are being made.

Unfortunately water damage is not included with Nikon's warranty on Digital SLR cameras, but the cost of repair is reasonable considering what all is going into it.

I got it back...wooohoooo.

Everything appears to be in great working order.  This week is hectic, but I should be able to get out and take some photos shortly and make sure everything is working as it should.

Sounds great Skylar!

Did Nikon give you a warranty on the repaired body?

Matt, no they didn't.

Water damage is not covered with any warranty repair from Nikon.

Glad you got it back, good as new, Sky! I know you were stressed out over this!

I was ready to curl up in the fetal position. But we are in great shape. It is acting just as it should and I couldn't be happier.
