i was wondering about this scope from bushnell. i was planning on puting it on my NEF 223 rem. but i don't know to much about it my best friend said that it would be a good idea so that i would have an idea about 10X scopes further in to my shooting life time, and that i would have much problem killin dogs out to 300+ yards. my big problem is that im stuck on a $150-250 any higher and the wife would remove precious parts of the antomy. any help would be greatly appreciated

I have had one of these scopes fitted to a remi 700 223 for a few years and its a fine optic and good value for money. Are you refering to the Tactical Elite 3200 ?? with the Target style adjusters

It's a pretty decent scope and in your price range the options for a prairie dog scope are somewhat limited. I would still lean toward something else though.
Nikon Buckamster would probably be your best choice in the under $300 range

You can look at some Burris Fullfield II scopes and see what price you can get on them:

Another good option (especially for the money) is a Mueller 4-16x50 with MilDot

I have an elite fixed 10 and i love it. It has been a damn good scope .The 170 dollars i spent on it was a good investment. This scope has been reliable over many trips to dog towns.Take koshkins advise if you are not wanting to spend a fortune on a variable. But if you want a good entry level fixed the bushnell is the way to go.

This is the best scope I have ever used under $200. My cousin has this on a Savage 10 accutrigger .308 and it performs in every way. Blows Tasco away. |
