I saw the announcement on the "Bulleten Board" forum about Steiners new laser range finding binos... But I can't find them on the SWFA site for sale. Not much info on the net about them, Steiners web site lists them as being available. Would they be a special order thru SWFA? Does anyone have a review of them? I have used a lot of Steiner binos over the years (always been happy with them), but wonder if the LRF is Steiner or someone elses laser that they are using?

Welcome to Optics Talk! Howdy

This was something that Steiner was working on. They were going to be a big, bulky, combersome binocular...but it was still a Steiner.

Unfortunately prior to going to production, Steiner was purchased by Berretta and nothing materialized from this.

If your looking for a nice range finding binocular, I would strongly suggest looking at Leica's new Geovids, or Swarovski's EL's. I say this because they are ver sophisticated and accurate.

Here's some pics of the new Geovid's.

Well, how are the Leica's?  Are they a game changer like they claim to be?
