I have an 270.caliber rifle and  I have it zero in at an dead on  at 100 yards. My farthest shot would be  150 yards maybe. This might be a  crazy question,I'm asking ,but I was wondering  if I would shoot at a target up an steep hill at 100 yards would my bullet be high or low at that range?what about down a steep hill at 100 yards?I am trying to determine if an hill would effect the bullet hit.Howdy

As the angle of departure increases or decreases from horizontal, your horizontal distance decreases. When the angle of trajectory changes you will notice your shots hitting higher than your point of aim. At 100 yards it will be insignificant. at 200 yards you will start to notice your shots hitting high. The steeper the incline the less the distance.

The math for this is the cosine of the angle from the horizontal, (up or down) times the distance to the target will give the horizontal distance.

A hill would not effect your bullet hit. Gravity will however effect the bullet hit. The steeper the incline or decline of the bullet path to the horizontal, the shorter the horizontal distance becomes. (As per the maths descibed above). The shorter the distance travelled, the less the bullet will be effected by gravity and therefore drop less then a bullet shot at a longer distance.
