I just purchased a Rem 11 87 cantilever sure shot deer gun. I'm thinking about putting a VX1 2 7 leopold scope on it, I'm not sure what kind of rings I should get. Any ideas? 30cm versus 1" ? Any help would be appreciated.

The Leupy scope you mentioned has a 1" tube, therefore you'll need 1" rings.. There are many good choices. I'd recommend looking at Warne as a good, solid, reasonably priced mount.
