The EPA isn't shutting down coal- fired stations because of particulate like fly ash, or anything like that... the EPA is shutting them down because the emit CO2, which the EPA classified as a dangerous pollutant and the D.C.circuit court recently ruled that the EPA's efforts are ok... think they have power problems on the East coast right now, due to the storms? Just wait- blackouts will become the norm nationwide, but just think how we'll be saving the earth.
For every coal- fired generator we shut down, the Chinese are building twenty. The "watermelons" (green outside/Red inside)are in control. |

The ultimate goal of those behind the warnings about Catastrophic Anthropogenic Climate Change is to reduce the human population. Listen to the environmentalists long enough and they will eventually tell you of their plan. The thing is, they are more and more open about what their ultimate aims are and our POTUS is not only completely on board with the whole idea, but has packed his administration with some of the most virulent and dangerous of the true believers. |

Man made global warming is a farce created by the left to gain control of power distrabution.
I hear lefties say burning wood is ok for the environment, but it almost killed a friend of mine who was working in Kosovo. He was in a village in a valley, and everyone heated with wood. He got a serious lung infection from the smoke that hung in the valley. Yet coal is supposed to be bad for the environment. Isn't coal just ancient wood that has been compressed by the earth. I mean, how much chemical change can take place to make it so bad?
I also notice that temperatures are recorded in cities, where heat is stored and generated by vehicles, industry, buildings, and roadways. I check the temperature when I leave work in town, and when I get home in a rural area. The temperature at home is almost always 6-10 degrees cooler than in town.
Records that are broken are usually 50+ and sometimes 150+ years old, when industrialization of cities was far less than today. I think a more accurate comparison of record temp.s should be made from temp.s in very small towns in rural areas.
If you really want to compare global temperature changes, it should be made from areas away from cities, since cities have their own micro climates.
As I see it, any real temperature change is controled by that big bright ball in the sky, as it does get hotter and cooler in cycles that are unpredictable.

Still we are not breaking many of the records from 1911,1932-1936. If it were gradually getting so much hotter these records should have been shattered long ago.

I was reminded yesterday that the 1937 flood followed the 1936 heatwave.

Its been around 115 out here in southern Nevada. Its going to thunderstorm this weekend; the weather report says itll get down to around 103 maybe 100.
Its dry heat at least, it is almost never humid here so it makes the heat not so bad. Strangely though, I did catch fire this morning when I walked outside... |

Not true. http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2012/07/03/what-behind-record-heat/ [/QUOTE]Yes, it basically is true. There hasn't been a statistically significant trend during that time... if anything, there is a slight downward trend. The temps we are experiencing are neither unprecedented or infrequent. I can provide links to back up anything I say about the climate. You will often find facts in the mainstream media, but not often, truth. Facts are not truth. Facts are merely facets of the shining diamond of truth. |
