Greetings from across the pond.

I'm a newbie to all this and need your help.I've customed a 10/22 (Barracuda stock,Volquatsen carbon fibre barrel )and I'm looking for a scope.I shoot anywhere between 10 - 50 yards.Sometimes practical target (changing distances)I've got a list and would welcome any advice.

BUSHNELL ELITE 4200  4-14x50

WEAVER GRAND SLAM  4.5-14x40

NIKON MONARCH  4-12x40

LEUPOLD VX 11  6-18x40.

I have a budget of around £200 ($400) but could raise it if it made a big difference.

A minor consideration is that i would like to have a choice of black or silver finish but that is not crucial.

Thanks for your help.

Great forum. This is where i did my homework.

I don't think these are gonna focus down close enough for you. I have a monarch in 4x12, and the leo II in 6-18 and I wouldn't consider them for your gun. The 3x9 EFR leo or even better the 6.5 x20 EFR leo maybe.

Good morning Dale.

Thanks for the advice.I'll look at the Leo.I reckon the 6.5-20 would be a good bet.I'll also check the adj. parallax range for the scopes on my list.To be able to focus at 10 yards would be great so the Bushnell Elite 3200 will need to be added.

Nice rifle.First one I've seen with a red barrel.

I have a Elite 3200 4x12x40 AO on my custom 10/22.

If you want a little more magnification you can go up to the 5x15x40 AO. The 3200 line is the best value going in riflescopes today that I've come across.
