HI
Just bought a S&W 460 7.5in performance center limited. I will be hunting black bear, hogs, whitetails.
Rifle hunting just seems to easy, needed a little more challage.
I'm thinking I want to go with the leuopold 2.5x8 32. My concern is that 2.5x may be too much for bear. Most of my shots are 20 to 25 yards, and probably at dusk. But with the .460 I would like to try some longer range whitetail hunting. A few extra bucks is not that big a deal to me. Any thoughts.

One more thing. Standard scopes seem a bit (old school) to me. Would red dots or holographs hold up? |

I have used my Burris 2-7X32 a lot in low light shooting hogs and deer and it works fine. 2X at 20yds is not too much. I think you would be happy with either the Leupold you mentioned or the Burris 2-7. I don't know anything about the red dots and holographs. Can you get them in higher powers?

A higher quality dot will hold up check out C-More- 2.5 power is not too much for bear unless you can smell it's breath. |
