Excellent
nice write up by Stan.
What if I offered to write your next high end tactical article?  Can I keep my pick? lol  J/K.  Mighty nice of you to do that for a friend.

I'll have to think about that.  For a loooong time....

On a more serious note, I was looking for a different view on things and I will occasionally drag people into this, although Stan got to keep the sight because it was his birthday, not because he was writing an article.

Well, I have been considering doing a comparison of Barska, Leapers and NcStar, but had a hard time getting anyone to take it on...

I'll do it...  Although from the start, I completely agree with Stan on the Aimpoint.  Far superior...

Hmm, I think I'd go with the micro Aimpoint after all dat. But well-written (and edited) review!

If I were to pick a red dot sight out of everything available, it would be a micro-Aimpoint as well.

Full-size red dots, in my opinion, are on their way to extinction.

If you do it, I'll put it up on my website.

I'm looking for a red dot to sit on top of my Hensoldt... might as well start at the bottom...

Has to be a 1-2MOA dot.  I appreciate the suggestions, though.

If I were looking for maximum precision with a red dot sight, I would take a close look at Leupold Deltapoint with the triangle reticle:

That looks like a nice sight. Not having used a red dot before, how accurate is something like the Aimpoint Micro, e.g. @ 20-100 yards shooting off-hand can you expect to stay inside 4 MOA?

I used to shoot the heads off turtles at over 100 yards with a mini-14 with Aimpoint.  Well under 4 MOA.  My neighbor and I bought one of the first Aimpoints.  Our mini-14/Aimpoint setup cost right at $400.00.  We burned a couple of barrels out of it.

That sounds pretty good, especially considering the mini-14 isn't celebrated for being a tack driver. I've been wondering about adding a secondary sight like the Micro or maybe smaller/lighter like the Burris Fastfire II.
