Anyone know where these are built? I know they claim to use USA made glass but I can't find out where they are built. The model I'm looking at is this one:
http://swfa.com:80/Swift-2-6x32-Premier-Pistol-Scope-P11880.aspx If it's made in a certain Asian country that builds pretty close to everything for Wal-Mart maybe someone can recommend something else in the same price range?

The Swift Premier is assembled in Korea. I owned one for over 12 years, it was the learning scope for my twin daughters and my youngest daughter on a BAR .243. It has, however, ridden several other, much heavier kicking, rifles. I gave it to someone who wanted to teach his daughter to hunt. As far as I know, it is still bringing down deer and other tasty animals. (I shot a skunk using it once, as well... he fired first, but I fired BEST.)
It is a fine optic with an outstanding warranty.

Thanx, I just acquired a new Contender barrel in 7-30 Waters and was looking for something decent that doesn't break the bank. Think I'll give it a shot. (<---- pun!)

A Swift Premier will certainly stand up to the 7-30 ( a pretty fine cartridge, BTW... wish I had one of those rifles, I don't have any lever action rifles right now... ).
My Swift was 4-12 and I thought it was one of the most perfect hunting scopes I had ever come in contact with. For several years, the .243 BAR/Swift was all I hunted with... with or without my daughters. Between us 13 deer with that rifle/scope combo... never a miss. I'll have one again...
