Was on the verge of purchasing Zeiss Conquest 1x scope for my new H&R Ultra Slug Hunter but was informed by competitor that the scope was discontinued and that the most comparable scope on the market is the Minox 1.8 .  After reviewing the specs and reviews I am very impressed.  My only experience with Minox is with a friends binoculars,  and they are fabulous.  Anyone have experience with Minox rifle scopes or this particular 1.8 scope?  I would expect it to hold up like the Zeiss, but would appreciate some opinions before I spit out a CC #.......

Sorry, that's the numbers off of the Zeiss.  The Minox is the Z5 1.5-8x32.  SorryWhacko

I recently tested that scope, and it's very nice.  Koshkin secured a couple of test samples and sent one to me.  I personally think it has maybe a bit better center field resolution than even the Conquest.  It's quite light and compact, and it tracked perfectly in my testing.  I can recommend it without reservation.  I will submit a more detailed review of it soon through Koshkin's Optics Thoughts website and post a link here at OT.
