This was originally going to go on the Grendel but after looking through it and playing with the turrets I had to put it on the Remington SPS Tactical 308.  OMG! I love this scope.  I couldn't do the traditional bore sight because my checkpad wouldn't let me look down the bore so here is what I did.  I found the mechanical middle of the scopes adjustment range.  Then being I was putting it on a 20MOA base added that so that I was still "technically" zeroed/centered on the scope with it mounted.  Once mounted and torqued down to specs I fired a cold bore shot at 100yds to see where I was.  .75MOA left and .50MOA down.  Second shot opened that hole up a little more, third, nice cloverleaf shape on target,  I adjusted the scope up 2 clicks and right 3 clicks and was taking the center bull out with boring regularity at 100yds. To say the glass is clear is an understatement.  I half expected at 14X it to get a little bit dimmer like most all do but i guess the combination of the glass, 50mm Obj. and my own mid games it didn't   All in all I shot this combo from 50yds all the way out to 400yds and it performed like i expected.  I even used this combo later on in the day on Saturday to take a nice slickhead.  I don't have a lot of "alpha" glass experience but this conquest has really made me want to replace everything with better glass ( I know Chris will be happy).  Pictures and a real review will be up later today, hopefully

10 shot group with 168gr HPBT's shot at 300yds.

Sighting in for my hunting loads.  I had two to the right of the target, dialed in 3 clicks for wind and put 2 others on the left  of the target, 1 click back and you see the last of the 5 is dead nutz!

viper is a great scope but the Zeiss is optically better as far as glass. Brighter and clearer picture for sure
