I guess what I want to know is do they stand up to the recoil of a 308 or a 25/06?
I am building a 30" bench gun in 308 and won't shoot past 300 yards but I like the higher power so I can see the hits.I have an eradicator 8.5-25 on a 223 and it does fine but have heard they do not hold up to anything larger,so I am asking those who have them how they are.
In the future I hope to upgrade to something much better opticly and more durable but with the cost of the build I want to shoot it as soon as it is done, I don't really want to wait 6-7 months and at $230 it is doable now.

IF you just want something to get by now I'd look at the $99 Vortex Crossfire.

Have one on backorder, but from comments here and elsewhere they are not holding up well on larger calibers.
