Can I use a 3-9x  40mm, Bushnell Trophy XLT on a muzzle loader?

I hear they are rated for pellett guns, and thats a funky recoil, so in 'theory' it should be able to handle a .50 muzzy, right?

I would think you would be ok.  Just keep up with the original reciept and all in case if breaks so you can send it back to bushnell for repair/replacement.

I have the Bushnell Trophy XLT (Bone Collector Version) on my Mossberg 500 12GA and my daughters Rossie Trifecta .243.  On my CVA muzzleloader I have the regular version XLT.  It has worked just fine for 2 seasons on all those guns and does pretty well in low-light for the price.
