First off, I know not to expect too much from BSA, but I saw this scope for a really great price and the site I found it on had 10 rave reviews for it. 9 gave 5/5 stars and 1 gave 4/5.

So, I've been thinking about getting one to play around with. Does anyone have any experience with this actual scope? I've read plenty of posts on variable BSA scopes, so I'm just looking for anyone with experience with this particular one.

Thanks!

The local gun store had these for 80.00 new a year ago. They had boxes of them.
I guess they sold them all because I don't see them any more.

I looked through one and it looked ok for what it was.  I seen  one a local rifle match and asked the guy how he liked it and he said it seemed to work. ( did not seem thrilled)

that is all I know about these.  For under 100.00 I would keep your money

    These things are serious j-u-n-k.

Beside the optics being like looking through the bottom of a Coke bottle, the a.o. assy. perform like the threads were cut in a Chinese sweat shop by a 12 year old using a sharp rock.

If you need a fixed power target scope and are on a budget, check out ebay and wait for a Tasco TS series 24X or 36X to come up...they pop up fairly often and can usually be had for around $150. These are the 1980-early 90's Tasco TS scopes and have solid mechanicals and decent, but not great, glass.

I would suggest an old Redfield or Leupold Gold Ring...  Maybe a little less 24x instead of 36x I think Leupold even made a 30x and 20x...

No one

What are you shooting and at what ranges?

I guess I would consider this Vortex for $99.95 for a budget target scope. It will be a much better scope than the BSA.
