i was looking at different web sites when i came along a site called BARSKA.com i was interested because it was about optics and looked further in it.  the have a variety of scopes, some of which are sold at the chain DICKS SPORTING GOODS.  i was wondering if anyone else has heard of them or has owned them. being on a budget i dont want to throw my money in to the wind, but i do want to try this "new" scope company.

There have been a few post about this brand and nothing positive.  They are cheap Chinese made scopes like BSA, Leapers, NC Star, Kalinka, etc.  If you just don't have the money and want to buy a scope at least go with a name that you have heard of and one that has been around for a while (BSA) so at least the warranty will be honored when it breaks.

The one I have only has a two year warranty. Like Chris suggested, it would be better to go with one that has a better and longer warranty. It would be great for the kids!!
