The New Simmons Master Series scopes showcase the very best in American engineering. Drawing from the expertise and resources of its parent company, Meade Instruments, optical engineers and designers in 1. The Heart of the Master Series; Simmons patented TrueZero Flex Erector. The patented design of the erector tube is the secret to the internal construction of this dramatic new scope and the first part of Simmons’ TrueZero Adjustment System. The traditional gimbal/biasing spring design has been replaced by an erector tube that is solidly attached to the scope body, with increased flexibility at the normal gimbal point provided by special grooves in the tube. Recoil is the largest contributor in a shifting point of impact. This advanced design greatly reduces the effects of recoil by absorbing and dissipating the recoil energy. Parallax or point of impact shift due to recoil is dramatically reduced, if not completely eliminated. This dissipation of recoil reduces stress within the scope, this design eliminates many of the parts traditionally used in erector tube construction. Less parts means less chance of anything going wrong! Another contributor to a shifting point of impact is caused by the biasing spring, which is used to apply tension and force at the ends of the erector tube against the windage and elevation adjustments. This spring is the cause of many an errant shot for two reasons. One is that the spring is weakened over time, becoming less responsive, and causing the point-of-aim to shift. The second is the “drag” created where the erector contacts the spring, keeping the erector from returning to the same point after each shot. When your point-of-aim shifts, so does your point of impact. The new erector allows it to maintain an even pressure from end-to-end, eliminating the need for a biasing spring. The responses to windage and elevation adjustments are immediate and precise. No more tapping on the turret to be sure the adjustment “sets”. A non-shifting point-of-aim at all magnifications and adjustment settings delivers unparalleled accuracy and absolute hold on zero from season to season! And if all this isn’t enough, removal of the biasing spring creates additional room within the scope body that results in a significant increase in windage and elevation adjustment range up to 17% greater than other scopes. 2. Simmons® Exclusive QTA Quick Target Acquisition, Fast Focus Eyepiece Today’s heavier bullets and loads require longer eye. Simmons engineers have completely redesigned the Master Series eyepiece. The new QTA eyepieces deliver a constant 3.75 inch eye relief and in some models, up to 4 inches! The new design keeps eye relief constant throughout the entire power range, regardless of the magnification. The new Simmons eyepiece also offers a larger eyebox, this allows for increased vertical and horizontal, as well as forward and backward movement while maintaining a clear view of the target results in quicker target acquisition when it counts the most! 3. Newly Designed TrueZero Dials Provide Uncompromising Accuracy Precise and repeatable windage and elevation adjustments are absolutely critical to shot placement. The Simmons’ TrueZero Adjustment System—completely redesigned windage and elevation dials. The new dials employ a ball bearing and spring system that reduces wear while maintaining reliability and accuracy. Their precise and audible clicks eliminate any deviation in click value. Also, TrueZero dials are completely sealed against water intrusion. 4. A True, One-Piece Main Tube Provides Incredible Durability and Lightweight Produced as a single unit, from the objective bell to the eyebell, the scopes feature the industry’s first and only TRUE one-piece tube. This design allows for a 30% reduction in parts compared to current products, resulting in unprecedented reliability and performance. Simmons’ design engineers have also addressed the important issue of product weight. Not only does a 30% reduction in parts improve reliability, it also reduces the scopes’ weight. Simmons Master Series scopes are the lightest, most rugged line of scopes available today, weighing an average of 16% less than competitive! 5. Side Focus Parallax Adjustments Simmons AETEC and ProHunter Master Series scopes feature newly designed side focus parallax adjustments. By changing the location of the adjustment from the objective bell to the saddle area, parallax and fine focus adjustments can be made while maintaining your target in the full field of view. Most manufacturers only provide side focus adjustments in models with 30mm tubes, but due to our new erector design and tube construction we are able to offer this feature in a 1 inch tube. |
