Reading this column for some time trying to decide on a new scope for my Remington 700 ML. One of the first suggestions was the Burris FFII with ballistic plex but I was determined to spend more money. Well, the $200 promotion package with a spotting scope is just too good to pass up so I just took the plunge and ordered the "cheaper" scope. Will report back here to share the results..I will take rifles with a Kahles variable and a higher ticket Burris Euro to do side by side comparisons of the optics at the range. Don't know that I want to mount and remount each scope for a really detailed comparison but we shall see. |

Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 Ballistic Plex is a great scope for an inline smokepole. I bought one for my Knight .50 cal and have no regrets.

Sorry, guys. I mailed the rifle out to Spradlins for tefkoting the same week I got the Burris Fullfield II. So it will be a couple weeks before I have any feedback for you. I did mount the Euro Diamond on my Ruger M77 (7X57) and had kissing three round groups at 100 yds from the git-go. Adjusted sight to shoot 3" high at 100yds and now I am waiting to get to the 200 yd range to see how it goes. Great scope, wonderful optics, can't wait for hunting season... |

I will be using my Burris FFII 3-9 scope on my muzzleloader on a bear hunt this long weekend. I will let you know how I made out. This will be my first serious bear hunt and I am really looking forward to a weekend "away from it all" up in the north country.
