Is the Simmons Master 3-9x32 A/O, equal to or better than the former 3-9x32 A/O scope??

It seems for $50 bucks or so it would be a good deal if equal or better.

Yeah , I would like to know the same? Can anyone at SWFA throw in their 2 cents worth? I would be interested in the new 3X-9X if it equalled the "old" scope.

Master series represent a total revamp of the Simmons line of scopes. It will be better for sure.

If it truly is better for 1/2 the cost, this would be one of the best buys in mid-power scopes.

Chris,

If your question is addressed to me, I was referring to the new 3x9 a/o Rimfire Scope.

That is a new 3-9 A/O scope that is based off the 3-9x32 .22 Mag.  It is not the existing 3-9x32 A/O turned into a Master Series for half the price.

Chris,

Do you mean the new 3-9a/o rimfire is based on the old .22 Mag non-A/O?  Didn't the old 22mag a/o use similar glass to the ATV?

Thanks for the info.

That is correct the new one is a low end el cheapo rim fire scope.  The old one used higher end glass and componets and was closer to the ProHunter line.
