Hi all, just got a Walther p22 and they have a nifty scope/sight mount available for it. I'm interested in getting a red-dot type sight and was looking for some suggestions.  Eotechs are really cool but they cost more than the pistol did. Is there anything similar that costs less? I'm not looking for something super accurate, this gun is just for plinkin cans and such. Thanks!

Take a look at the Bushnell Holosight it might be a better price range for you and still what you are looking for just like the Eotech just a few changes.

Eotechs and the Bushnell holosights may be a little to large in size for your application. They would dwarf the compactness of the P22 I think. I would look into a laser that you could hang off the accessory rail on the bottom of the frame. It would function to the guns expectations and would look pretty trick. The p22's wouldn't get the full capability out of scope like an Eotech or Holosight. I've shot many rounds through a P22 and know first hand of the accuracy. I just feel a laser would suit you better. You would be over scoping the gun in my opinion. They are pretty much strictly a gun to have fun with.
