My father in law gave my son a Gamo pellet gun . I ordered a Gamo scope from SWFA today and saw on here about needing a stop. The gun evidentally came with one on it which is located all the way back (toward the shooter)on the mounting rail. When I get the scope..............do I mount it in front of the stop or do I move the stop further up or something............not sure how this thing works ???? And he just gave us the gun and doesn't remember where he put the paperwork back when he got it !!
Thanks !!

A scope stop on a spring gun goes behind the mount. The recoil is in both directions but the forward direction is a very abrupt change.
