Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

I figured it out, you would be surprised what not recomputing your dope will do when you change from magnum primers back to BR-2s. Like I said it was the nut behind the remmy that caused the problem. Still stayed under 1 MOA group wise just low but way off at 380 and 440.

Don't know! Dogger told me how to do this and it worked for the first couple of pictures, but I can't get these pictures to post. I can get them to pop up on the reply box but they won't post in the thread.
I feel cursed.

Thanks SD! Now if I knew what I was doing wrong.
Anyway, the two pictures above are the two groups that I shot last week. They are both the same load of 43.0grs of Win. 748 in unfired Win. brass, with Fed. BR primers. The only difference was the bullets. The top group was 175gr SMK, and the bottom group was 178gr Horady A-MAX. The group sizes are close enough that I don't think there is a difference in accuracy. The point of impact is almost the same also, but with enough of a difference that I want to chronograph the two loads and see if there is a sigificant velocity difference.
So far, my groups have shrunk from 1 1/2" when I started with this rifle down to what you see above (the squares are2"x2"). Other than playing with the loads a little, I may glass bed the reciever to tighten up the groups. I may not match Black Betty yet but I'm not finished trying.
