I stumbled across this thread on another forum.

German Sniper Pics

Very interesting images.

I like this one the most.

Nice picture.  It is interesting that in that thread they were discussing which country has the best infantry soldiers.  I was surprised that noone has mentioned a rather logical point that of the multitudes of well-equipped armies in the world, the best soldiers are likely to be the most experienced and the most motivated ones.  I was under an impression that for while Israelis were considered to be the best soldiers simply because they are in a perpetual state of war with the neighboring countries.  I suppose the current crop of US troops is also battle hardened after Afghanistan and Iraq.  Germans as highly as they think of themselves participated in anything other than training for the first time after WWII in Afghanistan.

Anyone who has tried to get CETMEs (regardless of manufacture or country of orgin) to group, especially with the incredibly high scope mount will share the frustration I'm sure the soldier is going through (to say nothing of the trigger pulls). One can only wonder when the order will be given to fill in the hole he just dug.
