I was just wondering what the difference is in the quality of the glass between these Burris ranges and their overall build.

Welcome simmmo!

I have the Burris 4.5-14 Short Mag and although it's build quality seems fine, I'm not very impressed with its optics.  It is a nice compact package, but that compactness for it's magnification range comes with some tradeoffs.  Eye relief is extremely critical on the upper range of magnification.  There's a very small window of fore and aft head placement where you get the full sight picture.  I found this scope to have quite a bit of spherical aberration, and image quality isn't as sharp as I'd hoped for.  Still, it is an o.k. scope for what I bought it for -- plinking with a .17 HM2 rimfire.  I can't comment on the other two specific models, though all the Fullfield IIs I've seen have been pretty good considering their price.  If the 2-7X35 is comparable to the other Fullfields I've used, I would give it the edge optically over the 4.5-14 Short Mag.
