I just bought my first LR DPMS in .308 & a SWFA SS 10x42 Tactical 30mm Scope.  This may not be the correct part of the forum to post this on, if so my apologies!  This is my first post so hang with me if you would.  I mounted the scope and it was to low, so I bought the tallest Millet rings there were available.  It appears that I am having trouble getting full view through the scope.   I can not move the scope back to obtain eye relief since the scope blocks the cocking pull handle.  Does anyone out there have any suggestion to help me with my problem?  I am not sure if I should purchase a riser in case the problem is the scope is still to low.  Any advice will be appreciated.

Get a proper one piece mount.  That will position the scope at the right height.
