Here is the situation.
I currently have an FN FS2000 I hope to use for various things, with a single choice in optics. I know I am already asking a bit much here, because I want to be capable of shooting the close range targets such as in CQB simulations, yet if I want to shoot a coyote at 300 yards, I'd like to use the same optic. With more than 1500 hours on a shooting mat during my high school years shooting competition, and my term with the Military, we did not have all the fancy crap they do now, we had to rely on a stable shooting position and accurate sight-in to hit our targets between 25 and 500 meters with iron sights. So provided I have an adequate optic, I am comfortable of doing such, it is just finding the right optic for the various situations I intend to use it. I have been told Aimpoint over and over, and sure, for roughly $800 I can be sporting their new tiny red dot with no magnification options, an insane battery life as well durability. I looked into EoTech as well, which seems to have a few quirks here and there and a fraction of the battery life of an Aimpoint, and a bit less costly. I also looked into Trijicon ACOG's, and for around $1000 have some magnification and abundant recital choices other than a plain red dot or cross hairs. I then looked into the Nikon M223 with BDC, which was 1-4 x20, which apparently they did make however do not anymore? With a modest cost of around $280. they also claim their new "point blank" recital is ideal for close shots, though 4moa center dot is a hindrance at longer shots, it is the same optic as the BDC model with a different recital. So putting this all out there, and having limited knowledge on current optic systems, their intended uses, user opinions, and so forth, I am hoping bringing my question here can find some resolution. As for price, I have no issues what so ever dumping $1200 into a trijicon, or $800 into an aimpoint, however if neither would suit my needs, I would much rather not waste that money. On the other hand, if something like the Nikon would suit my needs, that is great also, I can care less how much I could "brag" my optics cost, provided they are effective who cares? I am open to opinion and suggestion here. Essentially I want an optic I can place a 600 meter shot, or a 10 meter shot all in the same. |

Why not a S.S. 1-4x24?

Review states 0~500+, which is exactly what I am hunting for, something I can shoot 3gun, or coyote all in the same package, with no need to change optics.
I appreciate it guys. Thanks! |

+3 SS 1-4x24
It is the do it all scope. 1x for CQCB with both eyes open and scanning. 4x for longer range shots with some superb glass.
