I went to both games on Thursday night. I went as a big fan of R.I.T. since my younger daughter may still attend there. They were far outclassed by Wisconsin, 8-1.
I was hoping for more excitement with the Miami/Boston College game. The second period was okay but B.C. embarrassed them in the third period, final 7-1.
I hope that Wisconsin comes out strong tonight. I think they are a better team defensively. If the ice is better it should be a great game. That is the key, the ice was slow and breaking down on Thursday. It had everyone off their games.
I will try to have some pictures. The ones I took Thursday weren't very good. Also, the crowd of almost 35,000 far eclipsed the previous record for college hockey. That was 2006 and around 19,000 in St. Louis.

There were over 37,000 last night and it was a great crowd. The RIT fans stayed in the Detroit area after losing to WI on Thursday. They were a great group of fans.
Boston 5-0, the Badgers were soundly beaten.
I visited several establishments through the day. I live in the western burbs and I saw jerseys from ND, WI, RIT, MN and even some of the Miami fans were still around.
I asked some of the ND fans what they thought of the Fighting Sioux loss in the ND Supreme Court. They weren't happy and will definitely hang on to their jerseys. I think I will try and find an official one myself. Due to political correctness it's buh bye.
