Does the field of view vary linearly with zoom power? I am trying to compare two scopes but they only give the extreme limits of FOV and power. I think I can interpolate between these points but I am not sure. For example I am would like to know what the FOV at 10 power for a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20. After doing my doing my calculation I find it to be 14.54 ft, i just don't know if it varies linearly or not and it it doesn't my calculation is wrong, though it might be anyway.

Eye-Relief. Magnification. Field of View. Within an optical device of a given size, when one of those factors is increased, one or both of the others must decrease proportionately. What the field of view is at 10 power is will depend on the eye relief of this particular optic. Ilya Koskin would probably be the one to tell you what the eye relief would be. The opening line of this post is pretty much quoted from his definition of the "optical triangle".
