Yeah, after having read a number of sub-par Barksa exeperiences, I'm guessing I hit the best output of the week for the factory!  It's worth paying to know you're getting a quality product.

Good to hear feedback...

I have shot a lot of 50m benchrest rimfire indoor (rather low lighting too) with a Barska 6.5-20x44 and a sunshade (always on the scope) w/target dot reticle, and have been delighted with the results.  I found the lenses to be fantastic and clear.

I am currently looking for a scope for a longer range project in .243, and I'm interested to hear a poor outcome with a Barska in what is likely a more comparable scenario.  I have, however, as I said, been extremely pleased with my Barska.  Pleased enough that if I were the poster, I'd likely have already ordered afformentioned swat scope.  But I always like opinions and input - even opinions are sourced from somewhere, so long as one can wade through the variables!

My advice would to steer a long way from the Barska.
The thing about Barska, as with all of the brands in this genre, is Quality Assurance.  If you purchase one, you MIGHT get a good one.  You also, very likely, might not...

"So I just have to ask you one question... Do you feel lucky???  Well do ya'... PUNK????"

Whenever you start to purchase a "cheap scope", you HAVE to ask yourself that question.  If your answer is "yes" make sure it is money you don't need...

Good choice!!! Believe me you would be very disappointed in the Barska. Do that gun justice and put you a good scope on it.
I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

This scope is more than likely as you state it is, but it is over my aloted Price range of $200.00. THere has to be a scope out there in the world that fits into this range!
