I'd like to spend $500-700 on a good quality scope for a 300 win mag Remington 700. Something in the -x20 or 24 power range. The gun will be used for LONG range antelope (600-800+) hunting and elk at shorter distances. Mil dot is not necessary but adjustable knobs are preferred. What's available that is better than the Bushnell 4200 but less expensive than the Zeiss Conquest?

I can tell you from first hand experience and comparisons done with many scopes, that you will not be disappointed in the Sightron.
do a search on Sightron on Optics Talk. Rob |

Sightron makes good scope and they are usually among the beter choices in the "bang for the buck" department.
One of the Big Sky models would be my recommendation. Optically, S2 Big Sky is comparable to Elite 4200, but it generally has longer and more flexible eye relief as well as larger W/E adjustment range. ILya |

My search is coming up with nothing. Are these scopes made by LOW?

I am not entirely sure who makes Sightron scopes.

They have their own facility in Japan. At least that is what I was told, when I talked to them, about a year ago.

Great scopes for the money, or for any other reasons.
