My 11 yr old Son, Tyler along with his Mother's Brother and I went out for the last time this year Sad   I can't believe how fast the season went.  We had a good day, we all three shot 2 birds each!  Tyler had a chance to get his first 3 bird limit, but shot behind the bird with his first  and second shots.  Ty's 1 yr old Female Choc. lab had a wonderful first season!  I'm so excited about her potential, she has the makings of a real special bird dog!
take em!

Man, I miss pheasant hunting! Sad

I grew up in SE Iowa hunting pheasant, quail, duck and goose every year. Pheasant was by far my favorite.

Some guys around here are planning a "bird hunt" Say%20What over in Eastern NC next month. They....set out...the birds...and then you go...and ....shoot them....Whatever
As an added bonus, they even have bird dogs for us to use!!!! Yippee
YIPEEEEEEE!!!! Wink

We go to  South Dakota every October to a place called Kohnens Acres. Truly a great time.We shoot Sporting clays on the course surrounding the lodge, grab a great lunch, and go after pheasants all afternoon. My father in law got me into it, and next year I plan to bring my oldest. Should be awesome !

CT,
I feel your pain Bro,  a corn feed Bob takes off like C-5,  wild birds leave like F-4's, lots of noise and in a hurry!!! If your standing in the middle you might not get a shot off!!!   LOL
